Without further ado, here’s my interview with Britt Jones. :)

Q: What do you do currently?

Hello! My name is Britt Jones and I am a local and traveling wedding planner based in Northwest Arkansas. I specialize in offering my clients a full service planning experience with a helpful hand and genuine heart!

Q: How did you get involved in working in the wedding industry?

As cliché as it sounds, I fell in love with the industry while planning my own wedding. I realized that I had a knack for event design and structure and chose to take this gig to full time in April of 2019. I fall in love with it more and more every day!

Q: What’s the most important thing a bride should consider when choosing her wedding coordinator?

I would definitely chose someone who is the best fit for your personality. You want to be able to feel 100% comfortable considering this is one of/the most important days of your life! Not only does personality matter, but style does as well. If you like more modern and minimalistic work. then choose the planner who is doing more of that style. If you like black tie affairs, then choose the planner who caters to those types of events.

Q: What’s the difference between a full wedding planner and a day of coordinator?

A full service planner is there with you throughout the whole wedding planning process while a day of coordinator ties up any loose ends prior to the wedding day. In all honestly, I would always recommend booking a service beyond day of coordination if your budget allows for it. It saves you time and sometimes money too in the long run— since you get things right the first time. There have been a number of wedding month nightmares arise due to things being forgotten, orders not being placed and vendors not being contacted or communicated with. Do yourself a favor and definitely consider a full service planner!

Q: What advice do you have for brides who are considering eloping or having a smaller, more intimate wedding? Do you feel like it is still beneficial for them to have a coordinator? Why or why not?

Yes! Not just saying this because I am a planner - I promise!! Every bride wants to feel stress-free on their wedding day. No matter if there are 200 people or 10 people there, you should feel a peace of mind—especially on a day as important as this one! A planner is there to ease those nerves and give brides the confidence that they are going to have a wonderful day.

Q: What tips do you have for brides who just aren’t sure where to begin when it comes to selecting their wedding coordinator?

I would most definitely do it sooner rather than later in your planning process. If you are on the fence, reach out to someone! Most planners are more than happy to give you an initial consult to chat about your wedding day. If anything, this will help make you more educated to make a better decision on what you are looking for in a wedding planner moving forward.

Q: What is the most rewarding part of your work?

Relationships 100%. I love being able to become so close to my couples throughout their wedding planning experience. I truly do view my clients as friends and feel so blessed that I get the opportunity to work with such wonderful people for a living. My job is always filled with so much positivity and happiness – I just can’t get enough!

Q: Any other tips for brides who are planning their wedding for 2020 or 2021?

First, HIRE A PLANNER. Sorry to force that upon you like that haha, but truly it is such a crucial part to your wedding day. Second, enjoy the process. You only get married once so make the most of the experience. No need to stress, worry, and cry – at the end of the day you will be getting married to the love of your life. That is all that really matters.
